"In his Diploma-Exhibition attends Wlodek Bzowka the analyzation of possible relationships between two dimensional paintings and three dimensional space. The theory, drafts and architecture of the Dutch group of artists and architects "DE STIJL" sample as an archimedical point. This point effords an analytic self assessment of the own specific medium. The new paintings show icons and architecture of the DE STIJL group in apparitional appearances, which provoke the spectator's apperception and commemoration:
By showing the cubic architecture and interieurs of the DE STIJL group the paintings quote and refer to an aesthetical tradition that goes on until today.
22 Paintings affiliate to an impressive space installation, that forms a dramatic contrast to the surrounding art nouveau (Jugendstil) architecture of the lobby of the auditorium of the HfbK Hamburg. The installation builds a three dimensional spacial corporality. Based on the dealt with theoretical concepts of DE STIJL and BAUHAUS, the space installation is basically based on the square base. The square base is the most important basic concept for all DE STIJL and BAUHAUS architecture.
In the lobby of the auditorium of the HfbK Hamburg, built by FRITZ SCHUMACHER, dominate quadratic shapes too, but not as a geometric and theoretic fundament and arrangement, but as an ornament that decorates the existing architecture."

Graduates show their Diploma works at the HfbK
[...] Hamburg - a highly built wooden framework in the shape of a cube, particularly equipped with monochrome canvases - highly visible is the artwork enthroned in the lobby of the auditory of the HfbK Hamburg. One of the Professors of the HfbK called Wlodek Bzowkas diploma installation a "Three dimensional Mondrian". Consciously he quotes the concrete art of the beginning of the 20th. century.
But this space installation, that makes as a minimal sculpture a broad impression, astounds even more by using a very subtil effect. The blue, white and red canvases show [almost invisible] images. Painted Portraits of the architects and their architectures. As recently as you get into a dedicated point of view the images emerge from the image area. "We are accustomed to see definite images", says the artist. "The abundance of such [definite] painting I wanted to thwart the apparent invisible. [...]"
